The Background:
Washington Bud Company began providing medical cannabis to safe access points in early 2012. We embraced practices of growing clean medicine because our founders, Shawn and Bill, use it to treat Lyme disease and Hepatitis C.
We proved our methods produced clean cannabis when we were the first grower to test for pesticides and 4 heavy metals under the WA State Department of Health (WSDH) program; allowing us to use the General Use Compliant symbol.
The Situation:
There are new laws and regulations to address registered patient tax exemptions, mandatory testing, lab standards and coordination of the regulatory bodies that address cannabis: The Departments of Agriculture, Health, and the LCB.
The Solution:
Washington Bud Company places high value on our reputation for growing clean cannabis. We embrace the added testing to qualify our flower as medically compliant so that registered patients can enjoy the 37% tax exemption. Our recreational fans can continue to enjoy our clean cannabis at a fair value.
Growing healthy genetics free from harmful pesticides and heavy metals is the best thing we can do for our store partners, our fan base and our company. We believe that whether one consumes for purpose or pleasure that EVERYONE’S HEALTH MATTERS!
